In 1900 the first of the "Wizard of OZ" novels was released by L. Frank Baum.

Featured in a few of his books were two maps, one of the Countries of OZ, and the other, a loose description of the OZ provinces.

In later novels, the appearance of a 'rogue' map where East and West were reversed made an appearance.

And finally, in the year 1980, Dick Martin created a textual map that contained over 70% of the inner-OZ happenings.

In 2010 I am publishing the first of a series of novels entitled "The Maleficent Land of OZ". In preparation for this, and, as a tool by which I have been writing, I have crafted what I believe is a comprehensive map of the happenings in OZ proper, as well as the surrounding countries. This has been compiled from the text, as well as loosely based on the 4 earlier occurrences of OZ maps.

Enjoy.

Great Job Otaku! I even rmember Gen Guph having to cross the ripple land twice enroute frm Whimsies to Growleywogs to Phanphasms and you nailed even that small fact on your map! I seem to recall Rinketink in Oz had a couple islands where the book started. Oyster Harvesters. What was the name of this island?

I love this map so much!! It's so hard to find such a good version of the Oz map that is not the original.

Best. OZ. Map. Available. However, in the munchkin country you marked "Ojo's House" at the bottom and just "Ojo" at the top.

I've had lots of fun checking the consistency of this map/using it as a tool to enhance the original books.

Great work.
